BOBBY SHEW REUNION CONCERT

The Bobby Shew Reunion concert is a dream in the making.  It started with finding the CD in the archieves, raising and saving money to print the Bobby Shew Live CD, working with Gary Langford to get all the details correct, working with our development team to enable us to legally sell the CD, and working with all departments to set a date for the Bobby Shew Reunion concert.  

 

SEATING AT CONCERT
We know from the past several years of experience that our UF Jazz Band concerts pack the University Auditorium to capacity.  Since the University Auditorium is open seating, we recommend that our patrons donate to receive a Bobby Shew 1983 CD and get VIP seating at the concert.  This will ensure that our patrons have the best seating in the house.  All other seating will be general seating at the door. 

 

SCHEDULE: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19th

6:00pm - Rehearsal with Bobby Shew and UF Jazz Band
6:45pm - Rehearsal with Bobby Shew and UF Alumni Band

8:00pm - Rehearsal ends

8:30pm - Dinner with Bobby Shew and the bands (Nepolitanos Restaurant)

10:00pm - Evening ends. 

 

SCHEDULE: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20th

5:00pm -  UF Jazz Band Set Up and Sound Check in University Auditorium. 

6:00pm -  Sound check with Bobby Shew and Alumni Band

6:30pm -  Sound check with Bobby Shew UF Jazz Band

7:00pm -  Stage is cleared

7:30pm  -  Concert starts

After the concert there is an open hang at Gator's Dockside on University.
