The Gator Basketball Pep Band is an audition-based SCHOLARSHIP EARNING ensemble. 

 

The Pep Band performs at all Gator and Lady Gator home games with a repertoire selected from a wide variety of pep band tunes as well as all of the favorite Gator cheers!

 

Auditions take place in early October and typically consist of major scales, chromatic scale, and sight-reading.

 

Following a successful audition, the Pep Band Roster is divided into 3 separate bands of approximately 25 members each. 

Men's games feature 2 of the bands (approx 50-piece band). 

Lady Gators games feature 1 of the bands. 

(Typically, each member will perform at a total of 12-14 home games.)

 

The Pep Band also travels to all SEC and NCAA touraments.
